The Hunters

The chase has led to a river and a fortified city. Zavac is inside, the Andomal is inside, and the Herons — outnumbered, outgunned, and out of time — have to find a way in. Hal’s plan is a small one and a clever one, and the execution is where the series’ approach to tactics really settles into itself.

The Hunters closes the opening trilogy of Brotherband. The Andomal arc ends here; the rest of the series moves the Herons outward, into longer voyages and larger worlds.
