Welcome to Mrs Books in Order (the "Site"), available at https://www.mrsbooksinorder.com. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Mrs Books in Order ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. The Site

Mrs Books in Order is a free, informational reference for book reading orders, publication orders, chronological orders, and related reference material. We do not sell books on the Site and do not collect payment from readers.

2. Editorial accuracy

We work hard to keep release dates, reading orders, and bibliographies accurate, but we cannot guarantee that every detail on the Site is complete, current, or error-free. Publication schedules slip, books get retitled, series get reordered, and sometimes we simply make mistakes. Information on the Site is provided on an "as is" basis, and you should confirm anything important (release dates, ISBNs, retailer availability) directly with the publisher or retailer before relying on it.

3. Affiliate links

Some links on the Site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission from qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links are clearly marked and do not influence our editorial recommendations. See our Affiliate Disclosure for the full picture.

4. Intellectual property

The original content on the Site — including editorial commentary, reading-order recommendations, summaries written by us, layouts, typography, the Mrs Books in Order name and logo, and the design and organization of the Site as a whole — is owned by Mrs Books in Order and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.

You may quote short excerpts of our editorial content with proper attribution and a link back to the source page. You may not reproduce large portions of our content, scrape the Site at scale, or use our content to train machine-learning models without our prior written permission.

Book titles, author names, cover images, ISBNs, publication dates, and similar bibliographic facts are the intellectual property of the respective authors, publishers, and rights-holders, and appear on the Site for reference and commentary purposes only.

5. Submissions to us

When you send us a message through the contact form (a correction, a series suggestion, a partnership inquiry, or anything else), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use the content of your message for the purpose of operating and improving the Site — for example, fixing the error you reported, deciding which series to add, or quoting feedback (in anonymized form) on the Site or in marketing material. You confirm that the message is yours to send and does not violate anyone else's rights.

We do not host public comments, forums, or other user-generated content on the Site. If we add such features in the future, we will update these Terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or related infrastructure;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site, including by submitting malicious code or sending excessive traffic;

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site. Once you click through to a third-party site, that site's own terms and privacy policy apply.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any information on the Site is correct, complete, or current.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mrs Books in Order and its operators, contributors, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mrs Books in Order and its operators from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after a change indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

13. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms — together with our Privacy Policy and Affiliate Disclosure — are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
