The Missing Prince

Prince Giles of Gallica has vanished. King Duncan — still recovering from the events of Duel at Araluen — sends Will and Maddie as a quiet diplomatic pair to find out what happened and, if possible, to bring the prince back. The Gallican court has factions, rivals, and a warlord in the north nobody wants to admit they can no longer ignore.

The Missing Prince opens a two-book arc (completed in Escape from Falaise) and is the first book in the spinoff set outside Araluen. It’s a shorter book than the previous entries — closer in length to the later Brotherband volumes — and starts Flanagan’s shift to the tighter, faster pacing the rest of the spinoff keeps.
