Arazan's Wolves

A village on the northern border is losing livestock — then people — to a pack of wolves larger than any that should exist. The local Ranger has been killed, and the village has sent word south. Maddie draws the assignment. The wolves are being commanded by a sorceress who calls herself Arazan, and the problem is not the wolves.

Arazan’s Wolves is the first book of the Royal Ranger spinoff in which Maddie works without Will for most of the story — a graduation in practice, even if she hasn’t formally finished her apprenticeship. The book opens a new arc that continues into Ambush at Sorato.
