Empire of Storms

With a kingdom to reclaim and an empire to tear down, Aelin travels the coastline gathering allies — Fae, pirates, the Blackbeak witches, and older, stranger powers — while the Valg forces of the Dark King close in from the north.

Empire of Storms runs in parallel with Tower of Dawn; the two books are set at the same time, in different corners of the map. Many readers alternate chapters between them (the “tandem read”) so both storylines land in sync before Kingdom of Ash. Read straight through, Empire of Storms works on its own — but you will be asked to hold a cliffhanger through all of Tower of Dawn before it resolves.
